While speaking to reporters, including The Hockey News' Diandra Loux, Tampa Bay Lightning general manager Julien BriseBois shared that he expects pending unrestricted free agents (UFAs) Nick Perbix, Cam Atkinson, and Luke Glendening to hit the market.
Perbix, 27, is the most notable name out of this trio. He has the potential to garner plenty of interest on July 1, as he is one of the top right-shot UFA defensemen from this year's free agency class. In 74 games this season with the Lightning, he recorded six goals, 19 points, and a plus-8 rating.
Atkinson, 36, had a bit of a tough season with the Lightning. In 39 games, he recorded four goals, nine points, and a minus-4 rating. While his numbers were down this campaign for the Lightning, there could be some clubs out there willing to take a shot on him with a one-year prove-it deal.
Glendening, 36, could also have some suitors, as he is a veteran bottom-six center who thrives at the faceoff dot and kills penalties. In 77 games this season with the Bolts, he recorded four goals, seven points, 105 hits, and a minus-9 rating.
