Girgensons Should Be Solid Part Of Lightning's Bottom Six
Girgensons will once again be looking to be a solid part of the Lightning's bottom six during the 2026-27 season. The veteran forward has worked well in a bottom-six role for Tampa Bay since his arrival, and he should once again this season for the Bolts.
Girgensons is coming off a solid season with the Lightning, as he recorded nine goals, 20 points, and a career-high 195 hits in 74 games. This was also the first time since the 2014-15 season that Girgensons recorded at least 20 points. Now, he will be aiming to do the same for the Lightning in 2026-27.
Girgensons is not the flashiest of players, but he is a nice part of the Lightning's roster because of his hard-nosed style of play and solid defensive play. It will be interesting to see what kind of season he can have for Tampa Bay in 2026-27 from here.
