Jon Cooper has full faith in Team Canada goaltender Jordan Binnington.
Shortly before Team Canada's Feb. 17 contest against Team Finland, Tampa Bay Lightning bench boss Jon Cooper announced that St. Louis Blues goalie Jordan Binnington would be Canada's goalie for the third straight game.
There were questions about who Canada's goalie for this contest would be after Cooper did not reveal who after the team's practice on Feb. 16. However, Binnington will be back between the pipes for Canada.

While speaking with reporters, Cooper made it clear that the decision to go with Binnington was not difficult.
"Not difficult at all. Listen, the kid has played great for us," Cooper said about Binnington. "He's given us a chance to win... If you can limit an opponent to two goals or less in a game, it should give you a chance to win, and he's done that for us. He did it for us the other night... He's given us a chance to win the last two games, and unfortunately, it didn't happen, but we gotta give him a little run support."
Cooper does a have point with Binnington, as the Blues goalie has kept Canada in games. He stopped 20 out of 22 shots in Canada's loss to Team USA, so he was not the biggest problem in the contest.
It will be intriguing to see if Cooper's decision to go back with Binnington ends up paying off for Canada from here.
