The Lightning have trimmed their training camp roster.
With the 2026-27 regular-season getting closer, the Tampa Bay Lightning have made their first cuts of training camp.
The Lightning have announced that Ethan Czata, Aiden Foster, Oleg Kulebiakin, Stepan Shurygin, Cooper Soller, Grant Spada, and Max Vilen have all been cut from their training camp roster.
Czata (Guelph Storm), Spada (Guelph Storm), Shurygin (Saginaw Spirit) have all been assigned to their OHL teams.
Kulebiakin (Halifax Mooseheads) and Vilen (Moncton Wildcats) have been assigned back to their QMJHL teams by the Lightning.
Foster will be heading back to the Prince George Cougars of the WHL, while Soller has been assigned to the Sioux Falls Stampede of the USHL by the Lightning.
With the regular-season getting closer, more players will soon be cut from the Lightning's training camp roster. Yet, for now, these seven prospects are the first ones not to make the Bolts' opening night roster.
