Former Lightning star Steven Stamkos is having a great start to the year.
Tampa Bay Lightning legend Steven Stamkos is having a fantastic start to the season with the Nashville Predators.
In five games so far this campaign with the Predators, Stamkos has posted three goals and seven points. He has also recorded at least one point in each of his first five games of the campaign. Thus, the 36-year-old forward has been red-hot for Nashville early on.
Stamkos having such a strong start to the season comes after he had a nice bounce-back year for the Predators in 2025-26. In 82 games with Nashville during this past campaign, he posted 42 goals and 66 points. This was after he had 27 goals and 53 points in 82 games with the Predators in 2024-25.
With the way Stamkos is playing right now, he could very well have another very good season in 2026-27. The Lightning legend has had a fantastic career and should reach his 1,300th career point by the end of the campaign, as he is currently at 1,263 points.
In 1,082 games over 16 seasons with the Lightning before joining the Predators, Stamkos posted 555 goals, 582 assists, and 1,137 points. He also, of course, lifted the Stanley Cup twice during his time in Tampa.
