The Tampa Bay Lightning lost to the Florida Panthers in Game 5 on April 30. With this, the Lightning have officially been knocked out of the playoffs, and they now have plenty of questions heading into the summer.
With the Lightning's campaign over, the Atlantic Division club has now made some roster moves. The team has announced that forward Conor Geekie and defenseman Max Crozier have been re-assigned to their American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch.
Geekie appeared in four post-season games for the Lightning against the Panthers, where he had one assist and two penalty minutes. In 52 regular-season games with the Bolts in 2024-25, he had eight goals, 14 points, 97 hits, and a minus-4 rating. Down in the AHL with the Crunch this season, Geekie posted 11 goals, 20 points, and an even plus/minus rating.
Crozier was called up by the Lightning ahead of Game 5 but did not dress for the contest. The right-shot defenseman did play in five regular-season games with the Lightning this season, however, recording zero points and an even plus/minus rating. He primarily played for Syracuse this season, though, posting nine goals, 34 points, and 75 penalty minutes in 52 contests.
