The Lightning have placed one of their forwards on waivers.

According to PuckPedia, the Tampa Bay Lightning have placed forward Jansen Harkins on waivers.

Harkins being placed on waivers comes after he made his debut for the Lightning on Oct. 1 against the New York Rangers. Now, with this news, the rest of the league has the opportunity to claim him off waivers if they wish to.

Harkins signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Lightning during the off-season. This was after he had three goals, eight points, and 113 hits in 44 games with the Anaheim Ducks in 2025-26. He also had five goals and 17 points in 11 AHL games with the San Diego Gulls last season.

Teams looking for more forward depth could consider taking a chance on Harkins with a waiver claim. Yet, if he clears waivers, the Lightning will then be able to send him to their AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch.
