On Friday evening, the Tampa Bay Lightning announced that forward Dylan Duke was recalled from the Syracuse Crunch to make his NHL debut.
Life comes at you fast, because on Saturday afternoon, less than 24 hours after Duke was recalled, he scored his first NHL goal.
Duke has skated in 36 games with the Crunch so far this season, recording 13 goals, which ties him for the sixth-most among all AHL rookies. He currently leads all Syracuse skaters for goals while ranking tied for first for game-winners, tied for third for points and tied for fourth for plus/minus.
He was originally drafted by Tampa Bay in the fourth round, 126th overall, of the 2021 NHL Draft and is looking to make his NHL debut.
