The Tampa Bay Lightning are inching closer to the new season, and they’ll be adding a new look with special-edition uniforms designed to celebrate the team’s fans, city and local culture.

The NHL and Fanatics announced Wednesday that the 2026-27 season will introduce Hometown Remix, the first 32-team special-edition uniform, apparel and headwear program designed and developed by Fanatics since becoming the NHL’s authentic on-ice uniform outfitter in 2024.

From the NHL:

“In just a few short years since deepening its partnership with the NHL to include the coveted on-ice uniform, Fanatics' design team has worked collaboratively with the League and its teams on a variety of alternate and specialty jersey and apparel programs, including custom designs for marquee events such as the Winter Classic, Stadium Series and 4 Nations Face-Off.”

The Lightning debuted their “sky blue” jerseys last season for the 2026 NHL Stadium Series game at Raymond James Stadium.

The color sky blue represented the team’s first game under the Florida sky, while lightning bolts were added within the “TBL” jersey crest. The design also symbolized Tampa’s longstanding pirate heritage, from string of beads wrapped around the sleeve with the Gasparilla skull and dueling swords.

Hometown Remix will go beyond authentic and replica jerseys, with a broad apparel and headwear collection. More information about the collaboration and the Lightning’s Hometown Remix designs will be released shortly after the season begins.
