The Tampa Bay Lightning are set to continue their homestand tonight, as they host the Winnipeg Jets at Benchmark International Arena.
Tonight will be the first meeting of the season between the Lightning and Jets, both of whom are entering the night in vastly different situations. The Lightning currently sit atop the Eastern Conference, a point ahead of both the Detroit Red Wings and Carolina Hurricanes.
Meanwhile, the Jets have had a major fall from grace following the departure of forward Nikolaj Ehlers in the offseason. After winning the Presidents' Trophy last season, they're currently eight points out of a wild card spot.
The Jets have been playing well as of late though. They have a 6-2-2 record in their last 10 games, but the Lightning have been on a massive roll as of late. They've won 14 of their last 16 games, although both of those losses have come in the last two weeks.
For those in the Tampa Bay market, the game will be on The Spot, as usual. In Canada, the game will be broadcast on TSN3. For out-of-market fans in the United States, the game will also be on ESPN+.
