The Tampa Bay Lightning are set to host the Detroit Red Wings tonight in a game with major playoff implications.

The Lightning have been in a major skid as of late, losing six of their last seven games and dropping out of the top spot in the Atlantic Division, which has been taken over by the Buffalo Sabres. As a result, they currently sit just four points above the final Wild Spot in the Eastern Conference and with teams below them surging, things could get a bit dicey if they don't pick up the pace soon.

Meanwhile, the Detroit Red Wings currently occupy the first Wild Card spot. They're just three points behind the Lightning, and a win for the Red Wings would make it a single point differential between the two teams. At the same time though, a victory for the Bolts would put them five points clear of Detroit, helping their postseason push tremendously.

The game is set to be broadcast on The Spot in the Tampa market. As for those in Detroit, it'll be available on Fan Duel Sports Network Detroit. It'll also be broadcast on TVA Sports in Canada.
