The Lightning should be getting a boost tonight.

Victor Hedman speaks with media following 7-0 shutout win against the Flyers

The Tampa Bay Lightning's forward group is getting a boost. The club has activated Tanner Jeannot off injured reserve, and the gritty winger is expected to return tonight (March 19) vs. the Vegas Golden Knights.

Jeannot, 26, was seen at the morning skate on the fourth line with Luke Glendening and Tyler Motte, so the expectation is that he will slot there for the contest.

While speaking to reporters, head coach Jon Cooper also had this to say about Jeannot's expected return: "I said the last time it was trending that way, but now it looks like a little bit more of a reality, so excited to have him back.”

Jeannot last played on Feb. 13 against the Boston Bruins. It was his first game back for the Bolts following his previous injury, which also sidelined him for over a month. Coincidentally, he suffered his initial injury against Boston as well.

Jeannot has appeared in 42 games this season, where he has six goals, six assists, 164 hits, and a minus-11 rating.
