This is undoubtedly promising to see.

Conor Geekie is a young forward who the Tampa Bay Lightning are hoping will emerge as a long-term part of their core.

Geekie is still adjusting to the NHL level but is now starting to show signs of breaking out.

While Geekie scored just one goal in his first 10 games this season with the Lightning, he is now heating up. Geekie has scored a goal in each of his last two games for the Lightning, which is undoubtedly promising to see from the young forward.

There is no question that Geekie has good offensive upside. The 2022 first-round pick showed this last season in the AHL with the Syracuse Crunch, as he posted 17 goals and 59 points in 57 games.

Geekie also had 43 goals and 99 points in 55 games split between the Wenatchee Wild and Swift Current Broncos during his final WHL season in 2023-24. With this, the young forward clearly has skill, and the Lightning have been seeing it lately.

It will now be interesting to see if Geekie can build off his strong play. If he continues to chip in offensively and breaks out, it would be huge for a Lightning team that wants to remain contenders.
