The Tampa Bay Lightning host the Montreal Canadiens tonight, in a game that has major playoff implications. Luckily for the Lightning, they may be getting some reinforcements in the form of the reigning back-to-back Art Ross Trophy winner, Nikita Kucherov.
Kucherov has missed two games in a row due to illness, which unfortunately happened right after he took the lead for most points in the NHL from Edmonton's Connor McDavid.
In Kucherov's absence, the Lightning picked up two important wins against the Ottawa Senators and Nashville Predators to secure their place atop the Atlantic Division. Regardless, it never hurts to see one of the NHL's premier scorers back in the lineup.
This season, Kucherov has scored 40 goals and 121 points in just 67 games for the Lightning. At the time of his illness, he was in the middle of a six-game point streak which he'll look to build upon whenever he does make his return.
