This Lightning defenseman got robbed by the Panthers star goaltender.

The Tampa Bay Lightning suffered a tough 3-2 overtime loss to the Florida Panthers in Game 2. With this, they are now done 2-0 to the Panthers heading back to Tampa, which is far from ideal.

In the second half of the second period of this matchup, Lightning defenseman Matt Dumba had a golden chance to give the Lightning a 3-2 lead. Panthers goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky was out of position, and Steven Stamkos gave the veteran defender a perfect feed. It seemed that Dumba was set to score a sure goal, but Bobrovsky had other plans.

Bobrovsky made a remarkable spinning and diving save to keep the game tied at 2-2. Dumba's shot was a good one, too, but Bobrovsky's refusal to give up on the play led to him making the save of the playoffs. This save ultimately played a massive role in the Cats' eventual overtime win. Had Dumba's shot went in, the Lightning would have taken this matchup in regulation.

Bobrovsky is one of the game's top goalies, and seeing him make a save like this only proves that further. The Lightning will now look to solve Bobrovsky in Game 3, but right now, he's clearly immensely difficult to beat. Just ask Dumba.
