The Lightning have made a few roster shifts ahead of the matchup Tuesday night in Vancouver.

The Tampa Bay Lightning announced Tuesday morning that they recalled defenseman Philippe Myers and forward Mitchell Chaffee from the Syracuse Crunch.

Myers has skated in one game with the Bolts this season on November 14 at St. Louis. So far this season, he’s had six assists and a plus-11 rating to lead all Syracuse skaters for plus-minus.

Chaffee is having a solid season with the Crunch, he’s currently tied for the team lead in scoring this season with 19 points on nine goals and 10 assists. He’s still looking to make his Tampa Bay Lightning debut.

The decision to recall Myers could be related to Victor Hedman’s availability tonight vs. Vancouver, after he missed the third period against Seattle. Although there weren’t any noticeable signs of injury, Lightning coach Jon Cooper told reporters that Hedman will test things out and then make a decision.

“We will give him a go in the morning and see where he’s at. I would say he’s game time,” Cooper said.

Lightning captain Steven Stamkos has also been out of the lineup due to battling an illness but was back at practice on Monday. Backup goaltender, Jonas Johansson was absent.

“We’ve got a massive flu bug going through our team hence why Stammer didn’t play the last game so, out of precaution, you got to try to keep guys isolated a little bit but he’s actually feeling pretty good so, hopefully, he should be good for tomorrow to backup, Cooper said on Johansson's absence.

Conor Sheary returned to practice on Monday but is not expected to be in the lineup tonight. The Lightning previously placed Sheary on LTIR, which gave them the cap space to call up Chaffee and Myers from Syracuse.
