The Tampa Bay Lightning and St. Louis Blues both matchup tonight from the middle of the NHL standings. The Bolts are coming off two tough losses to Chicago and Carolina. Ultimately they’ve been struggling to put a strong defensive performance together and have allowed 4+ goals against in six of their last seven games.

Erik Cernak traveled with the team, but remains questionable for tonight after leaving against Carolina on Saturday with an upper body injury. He’s still considered day-to-day and Jon Cooper does not expect him to play.

The Blues are coming off an 8-2 win against the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday night. Prior to that, they’ve routinely been a low scoring team.

The Lightning penalty kill will likely get a chance to shine. The Blues have scored just 3 power play goals, in 13 games, on 39 power play opportunities.

    Puck drop is at 8pm.
