This Lightning Forward Is Emerging As An Important Player

The Tampa Bay Lightning picked up a 6-4 win over the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday night.

Pontus Holmberg was a major reason for the Lightning's win, as he scored a goal and recorded a career-high four points. With this, it is clear that Holmberg made a major impact for Tampa Bay against the Jets.

With this game, Holmberg is only continuing to impress early on this season for the Lightning. The 27-year-old now has four goals, six points, and 10 points in 12 games. With strong numbers like these, Holmberg is starting to emerge as an important player on the Lightning's roster.

If Holmberg can continue to chip in strong offensive production while also playing a strong two-way, it would be huge for a Lightning club that is looking to do some real damage this season. So far, he is having himself a very good season, and it will be interesting to see if he can build on it from here.

The Lightning are set to play their next game against the Nashville Predators on Saturday afternoon. It will be intriguing to see if Holmberg can have another impressive game for Tampa Bay against Nashville from here.
