A Lightning defenseman is heading back to the AHL.
The Tampa Bay Lightning have made a roster move leading up to their contest tomorrow against the Arizona Coyotes. Defenseman Philippe Myers has been re-assigned to the Syracuse Crunch.
Myers, 26, has played in five games for the Lightning this season, where he has zero points to go along with a minus-2 rating. Four out of his five appearances came during the month of January during his most recent call-up to the Bolts.
Myers will now continue to be a key part of the Crunch's defensive group following this demotion. Down in the AHL, he is having a solid season, posting three goals, nine points, and a team-best plus-20 rating in 28 games.

If injuries on the Lightning's blue line occur as the season continues, there is a good chance that Myers could land another call-up before it is done. However, for now, he will be back with the Crunch.
In 158 career NHL games split between the Philadelphia Flyers, Nashville Predators, and Lightning, Myers has eight goals to go along with 36 points.
