Joseph Woll to Start in Goal Against Stars, Lineups and Where to Watch

Joseph Woll has emerged as Toronto's top goaltending choice in recent days. Scott Wedgewood will start for the Stars.

The Toronto Maple Leafs held their final practice of their regular season opener. Fraser Minten and Noah Gregor earn spots in the opening-night lineup.

DALLAS — Joseph Woll had a shutout streak of 109:34 get snapped when Washington Capitals star Alex Ovechkin scored his first goal of the season on Tuesday. Outside of that, Woll has been perfect since coming on in relief of Ilya Samsonov and made 37 saves in a 4-1 victory against the Capitals.

Woll will make consecutive starts in goal for the first time this season when the Maple Leafs visit the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center on Thursday.

"He was on fire. He kept us in the game early and made huge saves throughout the game," Maple Leafs forward William Nylander said of his goalie. "He was dialled."

Lineups

Scott Wedgewood will get the nod in goal against the Maple Leafs despite Jake Oettinger's red-hot start to the season. Dallas head coach Pete DeBoer says they are trying to find ways for their starting goalie to get some rest.

Outside of Woll starting in goal, there will be no changes to Toronto's lineup.
