Toronto was abuzz with Coldplay's four recent concerts at the new Rogers Stadium, but for Maple Leafs fans, an extra layer of excitement came courtesy of defenseman Conor Timmins. Earlier this week, Timmins, now with the Buffalo Sabres but clearly still close with his former teammates, shared photos on Instagram of himself, Bobby McMann, and Joseph Woll soaking in one of the shows. Timmins even playfully dubbed the newly created venue 'Middle Of Nowhere' in his post.

These were the Toronto shows that took place just before the band's viral moment in Boston involving an alleged affair.

It's always a treat to see players outside of their usual hockey environment, enjoying a big concert like this.

While Timmins has recently moved teams – initially dealt by the Maple Leafs to the Pittsburgh Penguins in a cap-clearing move, before his rights were acquired by the Sabres – his connections to his former Leafs teammates clearly remain strong. Up until his first trade, Timmins was having his most prominent role with the Leafs during his third season, playing a career-high 51 games. He even won a spot on the bottom defense pair out of training camp under then-Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube, attributing his success to adding more weight in the offseason. Timmins is also excited about his prospect of joining the Sabres, having grown up attending many Sabres games just a 40-minute drive away in St. Catharines, Ontario.

Despite the recent changes in his career, it's a nice plus to see him still close with his friends from the Maple Leafs. There is certainly an opportunity for him to be an everyday player on the Sabres, but for now, it's clear some bonds transcend team colors when it comes to enjoying a great concert!
