Fans expressed their excitement in the comments, with one saying, “Congrats! Any chance we can do a meet and greet? #FavoriteLeaf”
Tavares’ commitment to maintaining peak physical condition is well-documented. Known for his in-season and offseason training routines, the Leafs’ star constantly seeks new health and wellness techniques to enhance his on-ice performance. Kala Therapy, an advanced light therapy, focuses on the integration of body and mind and appears to be Tavares’ latest venture in his ongoing quest for excellence at 33.
As stated on the organization's website, Kala Therapy has ties to the NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA, the Olympics, and the UFC. It prioritizes healing the body through reduced joint pain, enhanced weight loss, improved sleep, faster muscle recovery, and better overall physical performance. Tavares’ exploration of Kala Therapy underscores his commitment to stay in the best shape, still attempting to maintain his fitness purity at he enters his sixteenth season in the NHL.
Coming off a 65-point (29G, 36A) season with the Leafs, and falling short in the 2024 Stanley Cup playoffs, Tavares captained Team Canada at the Men’s World Hockey Championship where he scored two goals and added nine assists for 11 points through nine games – ending the hockey season on a better note.
The Toronto native became eligible for a contract extension on July 1, but no decision has been made by the Maple Leafs on that front. Either way, he’s entering the final year of a seven-year, $77 million contract in 2024-25, clearly putting himself in the best possible position to maintain his high-level of play that he’s consistently demonstrated over his 15-year NHL career.
Tavares is no stranger to showing up in promotional ads before. He most notably sported a unique Lululemon jacket for Team Canada ahead of the 2022 Winter Olympics.
