During the two-week break for the 4 Nations Face-Off, the Maple Leafs' locker room underwent a touch-up with a new carpet and a large Maple Leafs' logo attached to the ceiling.

Fun fact. Although the logo looks blue, it's metallic silver with a mirror-like quality. The dark blue carpet on the floor makes it look blue in the photo here.

In hockey, many teams have their logos on the floor and when media and guests step in, they have to be mindful not to step on the logo. Former WWE and UFC superstar Brock Lesnar learned this the hard way by stepping on the Winnipeg Jets logo, hearing onlookers react in horror.

In recent years, teams have moved to removing logos from the floor and putting up a ceiling fixture in its place.

The Boston Bruins pioneered this in 2016.

And just like the NHL has been the trailblazer on certain issues, we believe hockey had led the way on obnoxious giant locker room logos and their placement.
