This will be Ross' ninth season as PA announcer.
A familiar voice is returning to Scotiabank Arena this season.
Mike Ross took to his X account on Monday and revealed that he's returning for his ninth season as the public address announcer for the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Ross was named the PA announcer of the Maple Leafs in 2016, becoming the fourth person ever to hold the title, succeeding Red Barber, longtime voice of Maple Leaf Gardens Paul Morris and Andy Frost. His grandfather was a Leafs fan growing up and has been a Leafa fan since he was around three or four years old.
Ross, who was born in Ottawa, began his media career in Ottawa volunteering at Carelton University's CKCU campus radio station before coming to Toronto to work at The Team Radio network back in 2001.
Ross was later hired by the NHL Network on Sirius XM when it launched back in 2005 and he worked on air on various shows until 2015.
As congratulations have poured in, former Maple Leafs player-turned-broadcaster Frank Corrado already challenged Ross to incorporate Jim Tatti's patented 'Yes Guy' phrase into a goal announcement this season.
Being from Ottawa, Ross is bilingual, knowing both English and French.

Ross usually give away his scoresheet to fans after games and does additional voice work away from the Leafs.
