The Toronto Maple Leafs unveiled their rosters for both the final pre-season games against the Ottawa Senators in a split-squad affair for Wednesday night.
The Toronto Maple Leafs will be seeing their provincial rivals, the Ottawa Senators, in the final pre-season game before the 2026-27 NHL regular season kicks off.
Like their first pre-season affair with the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday, the teams will be split, with one playing in Toronto at Scotiabank Arena and the other on the road.
The situation will be the same with the Senators, as one team remains in Toronto and the other travels to Ottawa.
The lineup playing the home game will feature practically an entire NHL lineup, including the stars; Auston Matthews, William Nylander, Matthew Knies, Gavin McKenna, and others. It will also be the first in-game look at a Morgan Rielly and Darren Raddysh D-pairing.
Sergei Bobrovsky is also featuring at home. But instead of Anthony Stolarz as the other goaltender, Artur Akhtyamov will be on home ice.
Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Troy Stecher, Easton Cowan, Nick Paul and Colton Sissons are among the main NHLers who will play in Toronto after getting the road game in the first pre-season fixture.
In the nation's capital, the biggest names include Emil Andrae, Nick Blankenburg, Teddy Blueger, Steven Lorentz and Brandon Duhaime. Stolarz will be accompanied by Ken Appleby and Samuel Hlavaj in the crease.
Lorentz, Marshall Rifai, Tinus Luc Koblar, Ben Danford and Andrae are all players that played in the home game against Montreal, getting the road game this time around.
Dakota Joshua is not listed for either pre-season game on Wednesday. This means he'll miss both opportunities to feature before the start of the regular season.
Maple Leafs head coach Jim Hiller said that the 31-year-old is "dealing with something," but would't reveal what the cause of his absence is. At training camp, he's been skating as the extra forward with Group 2, which is predominantly members of the AHL's Toronto Marlies.
