Prepare for a later start than usual as the Leafs and Bruins get the primetime treatment.

Matthews skated on the ice, albeit briefly, at TD Garden on Tuesday morning. It's not clear if the player is healthy enough to return from an illness.

For the third time in the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Toronto Maple Leafs will be starting a game a little bit later than usual.

The NHL announced that Game 6 between the Leafs and Boston Bruins will begin at 8 p.m. ET.

Games 1 and 4 of the club's series also started at 8 p.m. With all other Eastern Conference first-round series already completed, it's understandable why the NHL wants the game featured in a later timeslot for television-rating purposes.

The Maple Leafs staved off elimination on Tuesday defeating the Bruins 2-1 in overtime, forcing a Game 6 at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. The Leafs have yet to win a game at home in the series. The game will be televised on Sportsnet, CBC and TVA Sports in Canada. In the U.S. the game will on TBS and MAX.

The Bruins lead the first-round, best-of-seven series 3-2.
