The Toronto Maple Leafs need another goaltender to play alongside Joseph Woll, and it appears as though 6-foot-6 goaltender Anthony Stolarz is the main target for Toronto.
According to TSN's Darren Dreger, the Maple Leafs are one of three teams in the running to land the goaltender when free agency hits at noon.
According to Dreger, the Chicago Blackhawks are the third team that Stolarz is deciding on. AFP Analytics has a projection of a two-year deal at $2,227,500.00 average annual value for Stolarz. He posted a .925 save percentage in 27 games with the Stanley Cup champion Panthers last season.
The Maple Leafs are reportedly near a contract extension for Joseph Woll in the $3.5-$4 million range. The Leafs could make that official as soon as noon E.T.
The Leafs have also been linked to Winnipeg Jets goaltender Laurent Brossoit.
