Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi was not in the mood to discuss the $5,000 fine he received from the NHL for his hit on Florida Panthers forward Aleksander Barkov at the end of his club's 2-0 loss to the Florida Panthers at the end of Game 4.
"Just looking forward to the next game," he said twice when asked about the incident.
The incident saw both teams get into some pushing and shoving at the end of the game. There was also some yelling on the bench between both sides, including Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk appearing to be delivering some sort of message for Game 5 at William Nylander.
Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube wasn't concerned about any spillover that may come Domi's way as part of any retaliation on a part of the Panthers.
'Just Talking. That's What He Does': William Nylander And Matthew Tkachuk Chirp After Panthers' Game 4 Win Over Maple Leafs
Chaos erupted as the final buzzer went in the Toronto Maple Leafs' 2-0 loss to the Florida Panthers on Sunday in Game 4 of the series.
"Well, I don't know. What are they going to do? They can go after him, but Max has been around," Berube said. "I get it. Your emotions get high and things happen. That's part of the game. And we all know that, he's going to be fine. Just go out and play his game and do his thing... I don't think there will be a reaction, but I don't really have a whole lot to say on it."
After the Leafs opened up the best-of-seven series by winning the first two games, the Panthers have responded with a pair of wins in Florida to even up the series. In Game 4, Domi took an unnecessary penalty for high-sticking, the first of four interactions for Toronto in the opening period.

Maple Leafs head coach Craig Berube didn't mince his words when reflecting on the final minutes of the Toronto Maple Leafs' 2-0 loss on Sunday to the Florida Panthers.
The player admitted it's an area he has to be better in.
"Some penalties you're not going to be able to control. It's just how it goes, the game of hockey. But you got to be super, super careful and diligent with your stick," Domi admitted. "The high sticking, the tripping and all that stuff. It can be avoided. Sometimes it's just really bad luck, but for the most part, you have to be aware of where your stick goes. And that can eliminate a couple there. But other than that, just play hard between whistles."
'We Don't Need To Take Those': Maple Leafs' Discipline Issues In Game 4 Killed Momentum In Loss To Panthers
The Toronto Maple Leafs managed to do what no team had done throughout the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs until their 2-0 Game 4 loss to the Florida Panthers on Sunday... They took four penalties in the opening 20 minutes of the game.
Berube spent some of the end of the practice session speaking to Domi, likely reminding him not to let his emotions get the better of him.
Domi has been in the penalty box for three of the Leafs' four games in the series. In the lone game he has avoided an infraction; the winger had a goal and an assist in their 4- 3 victory in Game 2 of the series.
