William Nylander and Maple Leafs React to Dave Hill's Electric Guitar Rendition of the Canadian and American National Anthems

Hill, a huge hockey fan, has performed anthems at sporting events.

Joseph Woll was on a roll but now the Toronto Maple Leafs will be without him for the next little while. What does this mean for Ilya Samsonov?

ANAHEIM, Calif. — The Toronto Maple Leafs have stood through some unique national anthem performances this season and Wednesday's game against the Anaheim Ducks was certainly unique.

American comedian and musician Dave Hill was announced as the anthem performer and the Cleveland native came out of the tunnel at Honda Center with an electric guitar and put his thrashed out 'O Canada' and 'The Star-Spangled Banner'

The rendition of both anthems got mostly positive reviews as Sportsnet's broadcast caught William Nylander doing his best to keep things together on the bench.

The clips got the attention of Hill himself, who posted the reactions on his X account.

Hill is no stranger to performing the anthems at sporting events. He performed the Canadian anthem in his hometown before the Cleveland Monsters were set to host the Toronto Marlies.

Hill is a multi-talented performer who has also written a book about hockey called 'The Awesome Game'. which was released in October.

The Maple Leafs defeated the Ducks 2-1 on Wednesday to improve to 19-10-7 this season. Nylander, in particular, has been a focal point with multiple reports that he could be closing in on a new extension with the club.

The Leafs have Thursday off and will take on the San Jose Sharks at SAP on Saturday to wrap up their three-game road trip in California.
