    The Maple Leafs are returning to Nathan Phillips Square for an annual practice this weekend.

    The Maple Leafs are going back outside and fans are welcome to join to watch the team practice.

    The club announced Tuesday that the team will hold a practice at Nathan Phillips Square on Sunday as part of a two-day event that will also include a Professional Hockey Women's Hockey Association skills competition.

    The outdoor practice returns for the first time since January 2020. During the event, the Maple Leafs hopped on the TTC in full gear before stepping out onto the ice located in front of Toronto's City Hall. 

    The two-day event is free but limited to capacity so fans are encouraged to head out early.
