Kessel won his third Stanley Cup this year as a member of the Vegas Golden Knights.

Ryan O’Reilly and Luke Schenn were just a couple of Maple Leafs who all found new hopes when free agency opened in July. Here’s a breakdown of who went where.

Phil Kessel is a three-time Stanley Cup winner. And like has done with his previous victories, the forward brought the Stanley Cup back to Toronto on his day with the trophy.

Phil Pritchard, the keeper of Lord Stanley's Cup, shared photos on his Twitter account of the festivities on Thursday, which appear to also be part of a birthday party. No hot dogs were at the event, according to Pritchard.

Kessel, who was the Toronto Maple Leafs' top scorer for six seasons with the club, makes frequent trips back to Toronto. When he won his first Stanley Cup with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2016, Kessel spent his day with the Cup by sharing it with kids at Toronto's SickKids hospital.

The 35-year-old won his third Cup as a member of the Vegas Golden Knights this season. Although he played in every regular season game, Kessel's playoff participation was limited to just four games due to head coach Bruce Cassidy's decision to dress other players.

Kessel is currently the NHL's Ironman, holding the record for consecutive regular-season games played at 1,064. At the end of the season, the Wisconsin native expressed a desire to return for another season in the NHL. Although he is currently an unrestricted free agent.
