Toronto Maple Leafs forward Adam Gaudette did not practice with the club on Monday.

Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Jake Muzzin joins forward Pierre Engvall in a separate skating session as both players recovery from injuries.

Add Adam Gaudette’s name to list of injured Toronto Maple Leafs.

The newly-signed forward injured his shoulder during the club’s first pre-season game after he collided with Ottawa’s Travis Hamonic behind the net during the second period of play on Saturday.

Gaudette was seen stretching out his shoulder while on the bench, but he did remain in the game.

The Maple Leafs are already with forward Pierre Engvall at training camp due to an ankle/foot injury. Defenseman Timothy Liljegren is out until mid-November after hernia surgery,

On Thursday it was revealed that veteran defenseman Jake Muzzin was out until early next week with back discomfort.

The reveal came just one day after the player spoke on media day where he declared he was ready to o.

“There were a couple of little things that were bugging him leading up to camp that really weren’t prevalent all summer long,” Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe explained. “But as things ramped up there were a couple of things that were on his radar, but he was feeling good enough to go. But now, not so much.

Keefe reiterated that Muzzin is not dealing with any lingering issues sustained from his injury plagued 2021-22 season, a year that saw him twice diagnosed with a concussion.

Engvall and Muzzin skated on a separate ice pad. Engvall is scheduled to be re-evaluated on Oct. 3.

Maple Leafs forward David Kampf also didn’t practice on Monday due to personal reasons.

Gaudette signed a one-year, $750,000 contract with the Maple Leafs on July 13. The 25-year-old had five goals and 14 points in 58 games last season, where he split time between the Chicago Blackhawks and Ottawa Senators.
