The Toronto Maple Leafs forward scored the empty-net goal which helped Czechia clinch a 2-0 victory against Switzerland to win the World Hockey Championship in Prague on Sunday. Czechia won the tournament for the first time since 2010. The last time the tournament was held in Prague, Czechia finished fourth place, just outside of the medals. Kampf, taking part in his second-ever World Hockey Championship, finished with two goals and five assists in nine games. He missed just one game in the tournament due to an injury that was evidently not serious.
