In a video posted in November of 2022, Kampf’s dedication to fitness was shown on full display when he claimed, “I don’t eat cheat meals, not for me.” Following the 2023-24 season, and the Men’s World Hockey Championship, Kampf was seen doing reps of a body row exercise, likely as a part of an entire workout, working to keep his title as the fittest on the team throughout the offseason. After a 2022-23 season that saw Kampf score career highs in goals (7), assists (20), and points (27), general manager Brad Treliving re-signed Kampf to a four-year, $9.6 million contract with a cap hit of $2.4 million a season in June 2023.
