The Maple Leafs made long-term commitments to Chris Tanev and Oliver Ekman-Larsson. Is it enough to remake the look and feel of Toronto's defense? William Nylander's summer in the United Kingdom continues. The 28-year-old forward posted a carousel of images to Instragam on Sunday morning, showcasing his trip to Wimbledon and parts of London, England. Nylander's post includes a photo of him and a friend at Wimbledon's center court, in London's bustling streets, on the Tube in London, standing outside of a bar for what looks to be the Euro final between Spain and England, and some fish and chips. Earlier this month, Nylander shared several photos on Instagram of himself and 17-year-old Swedish junior tennis player William Rejchtman Vinciguerra practicing at Wimbledon. Nylander has posted several times to Instagram since his season ended. The forward appears to have had a busy summer of travelling while getting some rest and relaxation. The forward's coming off a career year with the Maple Leafs where he scored 98 points (40 goals, 58 assists) in 82 games. His 40 goals match a career-high set the year prior while his 58 assists is a new career-high in a season. He scored three goals in four games during the first round of the playoffs against Boston after dealing with a migraine issue for the opening three games of the series. Nylander signed an eight-year, $92 million contract with Toronto on Jan. 8. The deal carries an annual average value of $11.5 million, making him the second-highest-paid player on the Maple Leafs, only behind Auston Matthews.
