One day before the deadline, they added Mark Giordano and Colin Blackwell for two second-round picks (2022 and 2023) and a 2024 third-round pick. Following that trade, the Maple Leafs shipped out defenseman Travis Dermott to the Vancouver Canucks for a 2022 third-round pick. Fleury was traded to the Minnesota Wild that year.
