The Coyotes had trouble containing Connor Bedard which ultimately led to their 7-4 loss against the Blackhawks.

Connor Bedard and the Chicago Blackhawks were too much for the Arizona Coyotes to handle as they lost 7-4 on Sunday afternoon.

The Coyotes were just recently left embarrassed by the Blackhawks at Mullett Arena just last week, so this was sort of a redemption game for them.

Clayton Keller opened up the scoring in the first period and all seemed great for Arizona, holding a 1-0 lead after 20 minutes of play.

Keller tallied another goal eleven seconds into the second period which gave the Coyotes a 2-0 lead.

Unfortunately for the Coyotes, Connor Bedard just took over the game after that.

Chicago scored three unanswered goals, two of them coming from Bedard himself. The Blackhawks dominated puck possession in the second period and the Coyotes completely lost their composure.

Bedard’s three points helped the Blackhawks exit the second period with a 4-3 lead.

The Coyotes were unable to take back momentum in the final frame. The Blackhawks continued utilizIng their fast pace play and Colin Blackwell even recorded a hat trick en route to a Chicago victory.

Even after an emotional 4-0 win against the Detroit Red Wings two days ago, Arizona could not carry that same level of play into the Windy City.

Consistency continues to be a major issue for the Coyotes. They played some great hockey early on in the contest, but ultimately didn’t sustain that through the full 60 minutes.

The Coyotes will be back in action on Tuesday to face the Minnesota Wild.
