The Coyotes lost 4-1 to the Wild on Tuesday night despite an impressive showing from Karel Vejmelka.

The Arizona Coyotes were in it until the end, but just couldn’t get it done as they lost 4-1 to the Minnesota Wild on Tuesday night.

Going into this game, the Coyotes were coming off of a tough 7-4 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks.

While the Coyotes put up a better fight against the Wild, unfortunately for them the result was no different.

Arizona had some bright spots including Nick Bjugstad's goal in the second period, marking his fourth goal in Minnesota this season alone.

Karel Vejmelka really kept the Coyotes in this game as he recorded 27 saves while making big-time stops over the course of the contest.

Marc-André Fleury played well for the Wild, but Arizona just couldn’t generate enough offense which led to their demise.

“I think we played a hard checking game, we kept on the outside a lot, we blocked a lot of shots, we played good in front of our net, Vejmelka was solid as well,” coach André Tourigny said. “We did a lot of good stuff defensively.”

The Coyotes also committed four penalties including yet another too many men on the ice call. Playing disciplined hockey has been an issue for Arizona especially on the road and it’s these kinds of issues that will lose you a game.

The Coyotes will be back in action on Thursday to take on the Detroit Red Wings in what will be their final game of this road trip.
