The Coyotes escape their five-game road stretch with a total of five points in what was an overall successful trip.

Overall, the Arizona Coyotes had a successful five-game road trip going 2-2-1 showing a ton of perseverance through this span.

It didn’t look pretty to start the road trip as the Coyotes arguably played their worst game of the season against the St. Louis Blues, committing seven penalties which led to a brutal 2-1 loss.

However, the Coyotes recovered in a huge way playing three solid games in a row where they picked up points in all of them.

They went into a tough Nashville environment and beat the Predators 7-5 putting on an offensive clinic while overcoming two multi-goal deficits.

André Tourigny spoke following the Coyotes 5-2 loss to the Jets.

The Coyotes went into Dallas to play the Stars next. Arizona really held their own against the Central Division’s top team. They were minutes away from victory but ultimately lost 4-3 in overtime.

This past Thursday, the Coyotes strung together a real solid game especially in the latter half of it in a 3-2 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

While the Coyotes ended the road trip on Saturday night losing 5-2 to the Winnipeg Jets, escaping this week-long trip with a total of five points has to be considered a win.

The Coyotes currently hold the second wild card spot in the Western Conference, something many fans may have not seen coming up to this point.

It was not only their impressive record on this road trip but the way they battled and competed with all five teams showed their perseverance and how far they have truly come since just last season.

After over a week, the Coyotes finally return home to take on the Los Angeles Kings on Monday night.
