Here is why 2024 could very well be the Coyotes best year in franchise history.

The new year may mark a fresh and rejuvenating era for the Arizona Coyotes.

We have officially one day left of 2023, a year that provided a lot of ups and downs for the Coyotes organization.

Earlier in the year, Arizona’s plan to build a sports and entertainment district in Tempe failed while they missed the playoffs for the third straight season.

However under the guidance of André Tourigny the Coyotes have shown growth and continue to move along well in their rebuild.

The year reached its high point through the start of this season as the Coyotes currently have a record of 19-14-2 while holding the second wild card spot in the Western Conference.

The tides are beginning to shift in Arizona and 2024 can be the start of something truly special for the organization.

A report from PHNX Sports’ Craig Morgan stated that the Coyotes are aiming to make an announcement on the official location of a new arena around the new year that could stray into the first quarter.

The Coyotes are also reportedly ‘zeroing in’ on a parcel of land in northeast Phoenix, adjacent to Scottsdale.

These two reports indicate the Coyotes may very well be close to finally finding a permanent home in the Valley.

While it would take at least two years to construct this arena, the fact is that the team would be reassured to stay in Arizona which is a big step for this organization.

Not only is the Coyotes arena situation finally starting to look positive, but on the ice they are playing like a winning caliber team.

It’s not just that they are playing well, but the Coyotes are just a fun team to watch. Players like Clayton Keller, Matias Maccelli, Nick Schmaltz and Lawson Crouse are blossoming before our eyes.

They just have an element of heart and passion that is hard to describe but is truly special. This aspect and impressive stretch through the beginning of the season is just the beginning and they will only continue to grow and create more exciting memories over the course of 2024.

It’s an exciting time to be a Coyotes fan and 2024 might just be their best year yet.
