While it may not be easy to record 100 points in the NHL, Clayton Keller has the potential to achieve that milestone for the Arizona Coyotes next season.

The Arizona Coyotes have a rising star in Clayton Keller.

The 24-year-old forward scored a career high 37 goals, 49 assists and 86 points this past season.

Could Keller make the ultimate leap next year and become a 100-point player? While it may seem like an impossible task, it's really not out of the realm of possibility.

Over the past three seasons, Keller has improved drastically. During the 2020-21 campaign, Keller tallied 14 goals, 21 assists and 35 points in 56 games. The next year, he had 28 goals, 35 assists and 63 points. Coming off an 86 point season, the sky's the limit for what Keller can achieve.

Keller is the focal point of the Coyotes offense. He led all Coyotes’ forwards in time on ice logging in 20:45 minutes per game.

The All-Star forward seemed to have great chemistry with Barrett Hayton and Nick Schmaltz on Arizona’s first line which should only continue to grow this upcoming season. Keller played a major role on the power play leading the team with 20 points while on the man advantage.

Reaching 100 points is beginning to become more and more common in the NHL today. Last season 11 players recorded over 100 points while 19 players had 90 points or more.

At only 24-years-old, Keller ranked 21st across the entire NHL in points. Since moving to Arizona, no player on the Coyotes have reached the 100-point milestone but at Keller’s current rate of improvement, he very well may be the first.
