Here is why Connor Ingram fully deserved a chance to represent the Coyotes as an NHL All-Star.

The 12 players voted in as NHL All-Stars have been selected and Arizona Coyotes goaltender Connor Ingram was nowhere to be found on that list.
The Coyotes have had a resurgence this season and Ingram is a big reason for the team’s impressive play through the first half of the season.
All of the sudden, Ingram went from a backup goalie to one of the best to play at his position in the entire NHL.
If you don’t believe that Ingram has been performing at a Vezna type level, just look at his stats.
The 26-year-old ranks seventh in goals against average with 2.51, third in save percentage with a .919 and has a league leading five shutouts.
Looking from a statistical standpoint, Ingram is having a better year compared to some goalies that were awarded the title of All-Star including Alexandar Georgiev who was just selected by the fans.
It’s not just his stats though. While watching the Coyotes play, it’s easy to notice that when a game is close and the lights get bright, Ingram always delivers with crucial big saves down the stretch.
There is no statistical reasoning for this, but whenever Ingram is in net, the Coyotes actually seem to play with more passion, grit and just display their best brand of hockey.
The Coyotes All-Star representative, Clayton Keller, even said that he believes Ingram has been the team’s best player throughout this season.
Ingram’s play is no fluke. He continues to prove time after time that he is the real deal.
Despite not being named an All-Star, everyone around the Coyotes’ organization knows how valuable Ingram truly is.
