Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark went down with an apparent lower-body injury in overtime on Tuesday night en route to a 4-3 Coyotes' victory.

Boston Bruins goaltender Linus Ullmark went down with a lower-body injury during the Arizona Coyotes’ 4-3 overtime win on Tuesday night.

It was an exciting game as both the Coyotes and Bruins went back and forth until the contest would be forced to get decided in overtime.

In the overtime period, Logan Cooley took a shot that didn’t hit the net, but in an attempt to make a save, Ullmark stretched out and hurt himself.

The 30-year-old was helped off of the ice and unable to stay in the game which put goaltender Jeremy Swayman right into the fire.

Nick Schmaltz scored the game-winning goal shortly after Ullmark’s departure from the game.

“It’s not an ideal situation, but we're confident in our group and whoever is going to be in there. We have all the confidence in `Sway’ coming in, but you never want to see that stuff happen,” Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy said. “It’s tough for a goalie to come in cold, but we're capable of doing that, no matter what the circumstances are. Whatever the hand you're dealt, you play with it and [try to] make the most of it.”

It’s unclear whether or not this injury is long-term as coach Jim Montgomery did not give any further details following last night’s game.

Ullmark finished the game with 32 saves while Coyotes goalie Connor Ingram had 30 saves, making crucial stops down the stretch.
