The Arizona Coyotes have claimed center Adam Ružička off of waivers from the Calgary Flames.
Calgary decided to waive Ružička on Wednesday and less than 24 hours later, he was picked up by the Coyotes.
In 39 games, the 24-year-old has three goals, six assists and nine points while playing 10:09 minutes pergame.
Ružička was drafted by the Flames in the fourth round of the 2017 NHL Draft. Through his 114-game stint over four seasons in Calgary, Ružička tallied 14 goals, 26 assists and 40 points.
The Coyotes were in need of more center depth and Ružička provides just that. Standing at 6’4’’ he possesses size and a physical presence which could really serve as beneficial.
With injuries being a major factor through this season for Arizona, Ružička could find himself in Arizona’s lineup at some point.
