The Arizona Coyotes have signed forward Zach Sanford to a one-year, two-way contract.
The 28-year-old was drafted with the 61st overall pick in the 2013 NHL Draft and has played a total of 305 games in the NHL for the Washington Capitals St. Louis Blues, Ottawa Senators, Winnipeg Jets and Nashville Predators tallying 49 goals, 49 assists and 98 points.
Sanford played most of this past season with the Predators AHL affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals where he had 12 goals, 16 assists and 28 points in 45 games.
There is a connection between Coyotes general manager Bill Armstrong and Sanford as he was a member of the Blues 2019 Stanley Cup winning team where Armstrong was the assistant general manager.
The addition of Sanford provides Arizona with more forward depth. He could slide into the Coyotes lineup as a bottom-six forward.
It should be interesting to see what is to come for Sanford in the Valley.
