The Arizona Diamondbacks are going to the World Series!
The Diamondbacks recent playoff success has certainly caught the eye of the Arizona Coyotes coach André Tourigny who feels it’s now their time to deliver.
“They are doing a really good job,” Tourigny said about the Diamondbacks. “I think it’s exciting what's going on in the Valley. You look at the Suns, they have a really good team, they had a push two years ago. You take a look at the Dbacks, their team is coming alive… It’s exciting to see them explode this year, the way they play and the way they capture attention in the Valley.
“We’re on deck. It’s our turn soon.”
It’s been a crazy run for the Diamondbacks who came into this season as major underdogs but went on to defeat the Milwaukee Brewers, Los Angeles Dodgers and Philadelphia Phillies on their way to the World Series.
Similar to the Coyotes, the Diamondbacks were in a rebuild for a long time, losing 110 games just two seasons ago.
Not saying the Coyotes will follow in their baseball counterpart’s footsteps and make it to the championship, but the Coyotes are motivated to get to that point one day and earn the respect of sports fans in the Valley.
