Siblings of Coyotes' players have been able travel with the team through their road trip to Nashville and Philadelphia.

Through the Arizona Coyotes’ two-game road trip to Nashville and Philadelphia, the team has decided to do a sibling trip.

Instead of the typical moms or dads trip, the Coyotes organization did some thinking outside of the box and have allowed siblings of the players to travel with the team.

The siblings had their own private box during Saturday night’s matchup against the Nashville Predators and seemed to have had a great time.

“It’s a great thing,” general manager Bill Armstrong said. “I think it’s a creative idea to bring the players' families into our family.”

“Get them to experience their world, what it’s like. I think people think it’s all rosy and golden in the NHL and there is some grind to it, but I think it’s really important for our players to spend some time with their families and this is a great way to do this. It’s a unique trip.”

As part of the fun, a couple of the siblings had the opportunity to announce the starting lineup for the Coyotes in the locker room on Saturday.

This trip just shows the personal side of each player as hockey is more than just a game. It’s been really awesome to be able to see the power of family and how much it means to everyone.
