Former Arizona Coyotes' forward Zach Sanford has been claimed off of waivers by the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday.
Sanford played 11 games for the Coyotes this season, tallying just two assists while recording 9:15 minutes pergame.
For the majority of his short tenure in Arizona, Sanford played on a line alongside Michael Carcone and Jack McBain.
The Coyotes put Sanford on waivers just one day ago, deciding to call up Dylan Guenther in order to give the team a boost offensively.
The 29-year-old signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Coyotes during the summer.
He started the year in the AHL with the Tucson Roadrunners, playing 16 games where he had one goal, three assists and four points.
Sanford was called up to the NHL as Arizona continued to deal with a multitude of injuries and seemed like he had a solid place in the lineup until Friday when he was put on waivers.
