The International Olympic Committee is expected to award the 2034 Winter Olympics to Salt Lake City early Wednesday morning. Here's what we know and how you can watch.

The Utah Hockey Club has been making more moves to add to their prospect pool, highlighted by adding Tij Iginla and Cole Beaudoin via entry-level deals in recent days.

It is building more excitement for a team that's already shook up the NHL landscape by acquiring Ian Cole, Mikhail Sergachev, John Marino, and Kevin Stenlund.

On Wednesday morning, the state of Utah will stay up late (or be up early) to watch the International Olympic Committee conclude their annual session by potentially awarding the 2034 Winter Olympic Games to Salt Lake City.

In what's been a long wait for Utahns, the IOC's revamped selection process led to Utah being named the "preferred host" for the 2034 Games in late 2023.

Salt Lake has not hosted the Games since 2002, which saw millions descend on the Beehive State, highlighted by Canada winning their first hockey gold medal in 50 years.

The "preferred host" title, according to Steve Starks in an interview with KSL Sports, means the state is all but assured to win the rights to the Olympics, but as we know, nothing is set until the votes are cast.

Should Salt Lake be awarded the Games as expected on Wednesday, however, it would represent a huge springboard for the Utah Hockey Club by allowing fans to get a taste of what will come when the best hockey players in the world arrive.

It would also create a massive boost for the renovations of Delta Center, which are already underway, and the revitalization of downtown.

All that's left now is the waiting.
