While J.J. Moser is expected to miss the next two games with an upper-body injury, he is ok and won't be out for very long.
Arizona Coyotes defenseman J.J. Moser will be sidelined with an upper-body injury suffered on Saturday night in a game against the Colorado Avalanche.
While coach André Tourigny expects Moser to be out for the next two games, he made clear that he is doing ok and that the injury won’t be serious.
“He is out, he is out right now,” Tourigny said about Moser. “We don’t expect that to be long, but probably not today for sure and probably not the next one. He is doing good, so good news.”
Moser suffered this injury after getting hit hard by Miles Wood in the second period of Saturday night’s game where he ultimately went to the locker room and did not return.
Through 33 games, the 23-year-old has three goals, 12 assists and 15 points while recording 19:37 minutes per game.
Moser is a critical piece for the Coyotes defensive core, so the fact he will not be out long term is an extremely positive sign.
Juuso Välimäki will take Moser’s spot in the lineup as he nurses his injury.
